Power supply device development

With downsizing of lightning equipment, more undersized power supply devices are needed for their installation. Our company offers products that meet customers' demand with our selective or custom-made illuminants and power supply devices newly invented; Seiko creates high quality, cost-focused and hence value-added products. We also reinforce our organization for the sake of commitment to on-going clients' offers.

Safety design and process to mass-production

Compliance with Electric Appliance Safety Law, and other relevant laws and regulations is essential.
In our design review, we detect potentially unsafe functions of products, all of which are modified and improved to the level where no problem should be detected and then proceed to mass-production.
Every mass-produced product is required to pass shipping inspection and aging test given by the Quality Control section.

Light source module development

Seiko offers LED or OED modules as customers' originals, which are designed by remodeled circuit board(s) on which LED or OEL chip(s) are installed.

Our integrated process includes specification proposals, circuit design, artwork and circuit board manufacture and hence enables smooth transition from prototype to mass- production.

Procedure of development

Based on a SPEC document, each stage of development proceeds; Circuit diagram, Artwork including positioning LED(s) and wiring plan with CAD, making prototype and DR(design review)

Maintaining quality and performance of power units and lightning modules

Tests with a wide variety of testing facility are conducted on prototype circuits.

(1) waveform observation

By using the oscilloscope, we measure not only internal current and voltage levels, but also product functions to check if targeted features and performances are attained.

(2) temperature measurement

By using thermographs and thermocouple loggers to visualize temperature distribution, heat-generation distribution in a circuit is also monitored.

(3) illuminometer and distribution photometer

The illuminometer measures brightness of a product
The distribution photometer measures the state of lightning beams

(4) mesurment of radiation/electromagnetic noise

By using the spectrum analyzer, it is checked that noises emitted from a product are within the standard.

(5) lightning(protection) / anti-static electric measurement

By using the (thunder) generator, it is checked that a product complies with the standard.
By using the static electricity generator, it is checked that a product complies with the standard.

(6) Aging test(applied to mass-products)

As for aging test, total number and exhaustive inspection is given to stabilize normal product rate.
