We are pleased to announce our participation in the “Higashi-Osaka International Art Exhibition: Touring the Boundaries of Technology and Art”.
In this exhibition, collaboration works between factories and artists, as well as products from several factories in Higashi-Osaka, known as a “manufacturing town,” will be displayed as “works of art.
Among them, our company will exhibit “Feel the Earth: Shining Life and Circulation,” a collaborative work with contemporary artist and spatial designer Mayumi Kuwayama, as well as other parts that embody the technology we have cultivated over the years.
Craftsmen and artists are now recognized as two different images, but they were originally close to each other when it came to “making.
In fact, ars (Latin), from which the word “art” is derived, and techne (Greek), from which it is derived, mean “artificial” or “technology” in relation to nature.
The Higashi Osaka International Art Exhibition will be held as an attempt to explore the boundary between the two entities of craftsman and artist.
We hope that everyone will stand at the boundary between “technology” and “art” and ponder various thoughts.
