Looking Back on 2017

Only a few hours left in 2017. It is early. Business for the year ended on December 28.

On the last day, we had a morning meeting with all employees and our annual year-end gift drawing.

We received many year-end gifts this year. Thank you very much!

It has been a year of many things.

First, at the end of January, we had our first exhibition. (We exhibited alone.) And it was in Italy.
With the support of many people, we managed to exhibit.
In April, we went to Italy again. ALED was exhibited at the Milan Design Week.
Renewal of the 2nd floor studio. This is an ongoing project.
In June, the wall of the 3rd floor office was removed.
The mold design department, which was on the 1st floor, was moved to the 3rd floor, bringing the departments closer together.
A sacred tree, “Koya-maki” (Japanese cedar), now sits in the old mold design office.
We will see what will happen to it next year.
In August, we accepted a foreign student from Vietnam as an internship student.
In August, we hosted a foreign student from Vietnam for an internship, and at the request of Higashiosaka City, we accepted a company tour under the “Kyrgyzstan Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Invitation Program” sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
In October, we exhibited at LIVING & DESIGN 2017.
Last year, we exhibited with the Higashi Osaka Project, but this year we exhibited independently.
Thanks to the demonstration of spatula shibori, it was a great success.

The development of the ALED series we exhibited began last year at LIVING &DESIGN 2016, and I think the fact that we were able to present a cordless type of table stand is a great achievement of this project.

And we are now preparing to exhibit for the second time at the HOMI exhibition in Italy at the end of January 2018 to great acclaim.

It is going to be a busy year after the new year. 2017 was a year in which many people supported me.

It was also a year in which I realized how grateful I am for my health.

I would like to thank all of you for your support this past year.

Our employees will continue to work hard as one in 2018, and we look forward to your continued patronage!

We will be open for business from January 5 in the New Year.

We wish you a happy new year!
